GEA Food Processing and Packaging Business 115 customers from five continents and 17 countries at the Technology Center in Bakel just before IFFA, the most important international trade show for the meat processing industry. The FPP customer event, tailored around the theme Excellence at Every Stage, kicked off with an inspiring dinner on 2nd of May, where customers enjoyed a unique dinner experience combining video projection, sound and food creations in one immersive show. On May the 3rd, the pre-IFFA event continued with Walk-in-Sessions at the Technology Center in Bakel. The sessions supported the theme Excellence at Every Stage and the main applications we also highlight at IFFA, i.e. tempura coated products, homestyle coated products, the art of bacon making and sausage. Customers could choose 4 out of 11 sessions, related to equipment and solutions on sausage processing, mixing, tempura viscosity, vertical packaging, automation, service, freezing and more.

First fully automated chicken nuggets line installed at Danpo

Danpo A/S in Denmark, leader in fully cooked chicken products, decided to build a fourth, fully automatic line, to manufacture a range of chicken nuggets under its ‘Your Chicken’ brand. The line includes the GEA MaxiFormer at its heart, providing high-quality nuggets in a fully automatic, high-level production process, using the minimum of labor.

GEA Manure Management – 10,000th liquid manure spreader

GEA recently achieved a significant milestone in its company history by manufacturing its 10,000th liquid manure spreader tank. The unit was sold by GEA dealer, Automated Waste Systems (AWS), LLC and delivered to PK Winter Farms Inc. in Sheldon, Iowa.

On October 9 and 11 (2018) GEA Bakel welcomed more than 125 meat processors from all over the world (18 nationalities) to experience how Craftsmanship meets THE FUTURE OVER MEAT.
The GEA Food Processing team presented the latest developments and new product concepts with focus on sausage, burger and bacon application. The customers were able to engage senses, get market insights & trends, enjoy inspiring keynote speakers, experience live demonstrations and tasting sessions.
