Digitaler Zwilling simuliert Aerosol-Verteilung bei GEA

Unter welchen Umständen können wichtige Räumlichkeiten von Unternehmen wie Kantinen wieder sicher geöffnet werden? Das arbeitet GEA derzeit am Standort in Oelde für mehr als 1.900 Mitarbeiter aus. Ein Digitaler Zwilling, konzipiert vom Softwarepartner Dassault Systèmes, wird dabei zum wichtigen Puzzleteil. Er simuliert den kompletten Kantinenbetrieb und die Aerosol-Verteilung im Raum, was zu wertvollen Erkenntnissen für die Erarbeitung entsprechender Hygienekonzepte führte.

Given aerosols help spread COVID-19, GEA was keen to
know how it would spread through airflows and via the HVAC systems in the
cafeteria at its Oelde site. Partner Dassault Systèmes tested various scenarios
using digital twin, or simulation technology. The results will inform GEA's
health and safety procedures ahead of the reopening of this and other GEA
cafeterias.

In 2015, a multi-purpose production site was founded in Klimovsk, Russia. This video gives a window into life on the Russian factory floor.

• Containerized mobile units based on decanters or separators;

Big things start with the details, a small change can have a huge impact. The video tells the story of how GEA can design and build a complete dairy plant from a greenfield site. The Fonterra Darfield plant was completed in 2013 and at the time was the largest milk powder spray drying plant in the world. Each plant centres around the large 30 tonnes per hour drying chamber – the largest such dryers in the world.
